Pam grew up on the Gulf coast as the daughter of a shrimper, she was always taking sea adventures with her dad and other fishermen, when she could earn a place aboard their craft. Her natural ability on the water and her affinity for boats brought her to us, you will have to ask her for the rest of that story when you sail with her.
Pam began working as the mate aboard the Emerald Dancer in 2007, when Capt. Rex first put the boat into service in Destin, she has become a major part of the cruise, and returning visitors are always asking if they are able to sail on Pam’s cruise. Pam earned her own captain’s license in 2010. During the winter of ’09-’10 she gained plenty of open water experience when she went with the boat, as part of the crew, on a 1500 mile voyage to the island of St Thomas, where the boat worked the winter season.

When the boat returned to Destin, Captain Pam was given command, and has proven to be competent captain and a great asset to our sailing business. Pam is a mother of two wonderful boys, so she and 1st mate Jessie, also a mom, relate really well to the kids on the cruises. They are known locally as “The Wenches with Winches” and can sell you souvenir tee shirts displaying the fact.
On Seashell Safari these two ladies will handle, and display for the kids, all the weird creatures that they come across during the snorkel time, making this cruise a must for visiting families with school age children.
